The event served as an opportunity to present the findings of the parallel regional report, the result of a year-long research process and intensive consultations with civil society organizations and experts in the region. The conference discussions addressed critical issues such as the impact of political and social crises on women and girls and the role that national and regional policies can play in addressing these challenges.

The conference also highlighted extensive discussions on the six pillars of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, including women’s rights, their economic and social empowerment, poverty eradication, and protection from gender-based discrimination and violence. The sessions explored discriminatory practices faced by women and reviewed environmental challenges and their impact on women in the region, emphasizing the importance of integrating women into sustainable solutions.

The Arab Feminist CSOs Network is a coalition comprising 77 member organizations from 13 different Arab countries. This network is dedicated to promoting gender equality through advocacy and influencing policies and legislative measures. Its primary focus is on addressing various forms of gender-based discrimination and advancing women’s rights and empowerment across the Arab region. Through collaborative efforts and strategic initiatives, the network aims to create a more equitable society where women enjoy equal opportunities and are free from systemic barriers and injustices.
